In Case you are in Doubt (2)
Hello everyone,
How are you doing on
this day? I hope well and bubbling in the Lord.
Primary Text
“For God so greatly
loved and dearly prized the world that He [even] gave up His only begotten
(unique) Son, so that whoever believes in (trusts in, clings to, relies on) Him
shall not perish (come to destruction, be lost) but have eternal (everlasting)
life.” John 3v16 (AMP).
If you doubt God’s
love for you, look to the Cross – that’s how much God loves us, so much so that
He sent Jesus to die for you and for me. The Bible then tells us that “Since He
did not spare even His own Son but gave Him up for us all, won’t He also give
us everything else?” (Romans 8v32). Yesterday someone led us to pray on the
assuredness of blessedness – that we would be unshakeable in the belief that as
children of God we are blessed. If we highlight Romans 8v28 we see that for
those who love God (which reflects in our obedience to Him) and are called to
His purpose (being conformed to the image of Christ), we know that all things
are working together for our good.
When we look at life
in general, some might say “Where is the promise of His coming?...” (2 Peter
3v4), but the truth is that “The Lord is not slack concerning His promise, as
some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any
should perish, but that all should come to repentance.” (2 Peter 3v9). God
doesn’t want any one to perish. He wants that people come to the knowledge of
Christ, and the salvation that He has made available through Him. God loves you
incredibly. Never ever doubt that. One way the devil tries to use to keep
people from God’s love is condemnation. But as evidenced in the parable of the
prodigal son, if you have strayed, come back to the Father, repent, and turn
from your wicked ways. God wants you, He loves you, He adores you, He is
waiting for you.
Supplementary Text
“Who shall ever
separate us from Christ’s love? Shall suffering and affliction and tribulation?
Or calamity and distress? Or persecution or hunger or destitution or peril or
sword? Even as it is written, For Thy sake we are put to death all the day
long; we are regarded and counted as sheep for the slaughter. Yet amid all
these things we are more than conquerors and gain a surpassing victory through
Him Who loved us. For I am persuaded beyond doubt (am sure) that neither death
nor life, nor angels nor principalities, nor things impending and threatening
nor things to come, not powers, Nor height nor depth, nor anything else in all
creation will be able to separate us from the love of God which is in Christ
Jesus our Lord.” Romans 8v35-39 (AMP)
Prayer
Father, I thank You
for Your Word. Father, I pray to know for myself, the love of Christ which far
surpasses mere knowledge, without experience. I want to be a body wholly filled
with God Himself, I want to have the richest measure of your divine Presence in
Jesus name, amen.
