In Him I have my Being

 Hello everyone,

How are you doing on this day? I hope well and bubbling in the Lord. We thank God because this is a day that He has made and we will rejoice and be glad in it. Acts 17v28 (KJV) says “For in Him we live, and move, and have our being; as certain also of your own poets have said, For we are also His offspring.” Not only do we live in and through God, and move – make progress, advance and take steps in and because of Him, but we also have our being in Him.

To have our being in Him means that we are created because of Him, and we exist because of Him. John 1 tells us that all things were made by Him and without Him was not anything made that was made. Colossians 1v17 (NIV) says of Jesus that “He is before all things, and in Him all things hold together.” Genesis 1v1 goes back to say in the beginning God. God was before we all are and He will still be here after we all leave. Because He lives, we are. Hallelujah.

How wonderful that, it is because of Him that we live, that we exist, that we have our being. He is a good God. Romans 14v18 (NIV) lets us know that “If we live, we live for the Lord; and if we die, we die for the Lord. So, whether we live or die, we belong to the Lord.” If we belong to the Lord and exist because of Him, what then should we do? 1 Corinthians 6v19-20 (NKJV) says “Or do you not know that your body is the temple of the Holy Spirit who is in you, whom you have from God, and you are not your own? For you were bought at a price; therefore glorify God in your body and in your spirit, which are God’s.”

Prayer

Father, we thank You so very much for this day. Thank You for Your amazing love over us. You are good. Father, we thank You because we have our being in You. May we ever remain conscious of this fact and live to glorify You in Jesus name, amen.
