A Blessed Work
Hello
everyone,
How
are you doing on this day? I hope well and bubbling in the Lord. We thank God
for the blessings and flourishing He gives to those who follow after Him and
belong to Him. Psalm 1v1-3 (NLT) says “Oh, the joys of those who do not follow
the advice of the wicked, or stand around with sinners, or join in with
mockers. But they delight in the law of the Lord, meditating on it day and
night. They are like trees planted along the riverbank,
bearing fruit each season. Their leaves never wither, and they prosper in
all they do.” Amen. This man, who follows the Lord, whatever he does shall
proper. Synonyms for prosper include flourish, thrive, do well, make money,
show a profit, be in the black, get on, grow and burgeon. Hallelujah!!!
In
Deuteronomy 28, the Word of God mentions some of the blessings that accrue to
those who listen diligently to the voice of the Lord and are watchful to follow
the commandments which Moses gave them at the time: “And the Lord shall make
you have a surplus of prosperity, through the fruit of your body, of your
livestock, and of your ground, in the land which the Lord swore to your fathers
to give you. The Lord shall open to you His good treasury, the heavens, to give
the rain of your land in its season and to bless all the works of your hands;
and you shall lend to many nations, but you shall not borrow (v11-12, AMP).
Children
of God are blessings wherever they are. Because of Joseph, Potiphar’s house was
blessed, as well as the land of Egypt and the whole earth during the time of
famine (Genesis 39v3-6; Genesis 41v57). Because of Daniel’s relationship with
the Lord, many did not die after he was able to reveal the king’s dream (Daniel
2). Indeed, Laban told Jacob that he knew that he was blessed because of Jacob
(Genesis 30v27). As children of God, our real master, regardless of our task is
the Lord, and it is to Him that we work, and He in turn blesses us, and others
through us. Colossians 3v23-24 (AMP) says “Whatever may be your task, work at
it heartily (from the soul), as [something done] for the Lord and not for men.
Knowing [with all certainty] that it is from the Lord [and not from men] that
you will receive the inheritance which is your [real] reward. [The One Whom]
you are actually serving [is] the Lord Christ (the Messiah).” Hallelujah.
Prayer
Father,
we thank You for who You are. You are our Lord, our Master, our King, the Just
One, the Righteous Judge. Blessed be Your name. Thank You for this day. Thank
You for the work of our hands. We thank You that even as we follow after You,
and meditate on Your word, and are obedient to You, You will cause us to
flourish, prosper and be a blessing wherever we are to the glory and honour of
Your name. Thank You so much o God, in Jesus name we pray, amen.
