Acts of Faith
Dearly beloved, the
Bible encourages us that if we have faith as a mustard seed we can move
mountains (Matthew 17v20);
and that without faith we cannot please God (Hebrews 11v6).
In the Bible, we see men and women who demonstrated faith in God by believing in Him and
acting on His Word. For example,
it took faith for the servants in the wedding at Cana
of Galilee to take a sample of liquid to the master of ceremony to taste at Jesus’ request,
when they knew it was only water they had poured in the vases (John 2v1-11).
It took faith for the ten lepers to begin going to the priest to be checked
because Jesus said to go
(Luke 17v11-19). It took faith for the 72 other
chosen disciples in Luke 10 to go forth ahead of Jesus to the places He planned
to visit. It took faith for David to run towards Goliath with the intent of
killing him (1 Samuel 17:48-51).
Beloved, walk in faith today. Matthew 17v20 (NIV) says
“He replied, "Because you have so little faith.
Truly I tell you, if you have faith as small as a mustard seed, you can say to
this mountain, 'Move from here to there,' and it will move. Nothing will be
impossible for you."
It might look like a small step, but it moves mountains.
