Faith in God – In His Wisdom (2)
Dearly
beloved, I trust this finds you well and bubbling in the Lord. We continue our
study on 2 Timothy 1v5 (AMPC), where Paul writes to Timothy that “I am calling
up memories of your sincere and unqualified faith (the leaning of your entire
personality on God in Christ in absolute trust and confidence in His power,
wisdom, and goodness), [a faith] that first lived permanently in [the heart of]
your grandmother Lois and your mother Eunice and now, I am [fully] persuaded,
[dwells] in you also].”
God
is the possessor of wisdom, of Godly, pure, beautiful wisdom. When you are confused
and don’t know what to do, who do you turn to? Turn to God and ask Him for
wisdom. The Message Bible says “If you don’t
know what you’re doing, pray to the Father. He loves to help. You’ll get His
help, and won’t be condescended to when you ask for it. Ask boldly, believingly,
without a second thought. People who “worry their prayers” are like
wind-whipped waves. Don’t think you’re going to get anything from the Master
that way, adrift at sea, keeping all your options open” (James 1v5-8). Beloved,
you need to have absolute confidence and trust in God’s wisdom, crave His
wisdom and thoughts and insight on how to do things, and trust that it is the
best way.
Prayer
Are
you in need of wisdom today, for anything – why don’t you ask God for it now?
