Priests and Kings

Hello everyone,

How are you doing on this day? I hope well and bubbling in the Lord. We thank God for His wonderful plan of salvation and all the great benefits that we as believers have because of that.

Primary Text

“And from Jesus Christ, who is the faithful witness, and the first begotten of the dead, and the prince of the kings of the earth. Unto Him that loved us, and washed us from our sins in His own blood, And hath made us kings and priests unto God and His Father; to Him be glory and dominion for ever and ever. Amen.” Revelation 1v5-6 (KJV)

“And from Jesus Christ the faithful and trustworthy Witness, the Firstborn of the dead [first to be brought back to life] and the Prince (Ruler) of the kings of the earth. To Him Who ever loves us and has once [for all] loosed and freed us from our sins by His own blood, And formed us into a kingdom (a royal race), priests to His God and Father – to Him be the glory and the power and the majesty and the dominion throughout the ages and forever and ever. Amen (so be it).” Revelation 1v5-6 (AMP)

One result of being bought by the blood of Jesus, is that Jesus has made us into kings to His God. Another translation says a kingdom, a royal race. Indeed beloved, we who are children of God have become royalty! We are royal priesthoods, priests of the King. Our God is the King of kings, and children of a king become royalty! 1 Peter 2v9-10 (AMP) says “But you are a chosen race, a royal priesthood, a dedicated nation, [God’s] own purchased, special people, that you may set forth the wonderful deeds and display the virtues and perfections of Him Who called you out of darkness into His marvelous light. Once you were not a people [at all], but now you are God’s people; once you were unpitied, but now you are pitied and have received mercy.” Kings reign, kings rule, kings have dominion. Ecclesiastes 8v4 (AMP) says “For the word of a king is authority and power, and who can say to him, What are you doing?” As believers, we have a lot of authority in Christ Jesus. We are royal priesthoods, and have been made kings and priests unto our God.

“And they sung a new song, saying, Thou art worthy to take the book, and to open the seals thereof: for Thou wast slain, and hast redeemed us to God by Thy blood out of every kindred, and tongue, and people, and nation; And hast made us unto our God kings and priests: and we shall reign on the earth.” Revelations 5v9-10 (KJV)

Prayer

Father, we thank You, we bless Your holy name. We thank You for we have been translated into the kingdom of Your dear Son, and out of the kingdom of darkness. Thank You Jesus for making us kings and priests unto our God. Thank You because we shall reign on earth. Blessed be Your holy name forevermore. In Jesus name we pray, amen.
