In Him was Life

 Dearly Beloved, I trust this finds you well and bubbling in the Lord. John 1v3 tells us that “In Him was Life…”. Him here refers to our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. Hallelujah. What is life to you? We hear phrases like I’m enjoying my life, my life sucks, I’m tired of life, e.t.c. What is life to you? I find that one cannot really understand or experience or enjoy life outside of Christ. Let us consider a few verses:

 

John 14v6 (KJV): “Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by Me.”

 

John 17v2-3 (KJV): “As Thou hast given Him power over all flesh, that He should give eternal life to as many as Thou hast given Him. And this is life eternal, that they might know Thee the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom Thou hast sent.”

 

Acts 17v27-28 (TPT): “He has done this so that every person would long for God, feel their way to Him, and find Him – for He is the God who is easy to discover! It is through Him that we live and function and have our identity; just as your own poets have said, ‘Our lineage comes from Him.”

 

Have you been pondering the meaning of life, your purpose, the nature and reason for your existence? Go to Jesus – In Him is life, in Him you will understand your life, in Him, you will get light and comprehension about who you are and whose you are. In Him was life!

 

Prayer

Father, we thank You so much for Your Word this day. We thank You because in You, there is life, in You there is Light. You are our life o God, and it is in You we live and move and have our being. We lay our lives at Your feet this day and we ask that You be glorified in and through us in Jesus name, amen.
