Trust God Again
Dearly Beloved. I trust this finds you well and bubbling in the Lord. God is our Helper, a very present help in any trouble and He loves to help His children. In fact, the Holy Spirit is called our Helper. When dealing with humans, we might be reluctant to ask for help multiple times from the same person. With God, going elsewhere for help is what would get him upset. God has never changed – He helped you in the past, He will again. Trust Him again, trust in His unfailing love, mercy, and grace. Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today and forevermore.
Scriptural References
“For
we do not have a High Priest Who is unable to understand and sympathize and have a
shared feeling with our weaknesses and infirmities and liability
to the assaults of temptation, but One Who has been tempted in every respect as
we are, yet without sinning.
Let us then fearlessly and confidently and boldly
draw near to the throne of grace (the throne of God’s unmerited favor to us
sinners), that we may receive mercy [for our failures] and find grace to help
in good time for every need [appropriate help and well-timed help, coming just
when we need it].”
Hebrews 4v15-16 (AMPC)
“He
delighteth not in the strength of the horse: he taketh not pleasure in the legs
of a man. The Lord taketh pleasure in them that fear
him, in those that hope in his mercy.” Psalm 147v10-11 (KJV)
“At that time Hanani the seer came to Asa king of
Judah and said to him: “Because you relied on the king of Aram and not on the
Lord your God, the army of the king of Aram has escaped from your hand. Were
not the Cushites and Libyans a mighty army with great numbers of chariots and
horsemen? Yet when you relied on the Lord, he delivered them into your hand. For
the eyes of the Lord range throughout the earth to strengthen those whose
hearts are fully committed to him. You have done a foolish thing, and from now
on you will be at war.” 2 Chronicles 16v7-9 (NIV)
