Grace, Peace, and Knowledge
Hello everyone,
How are you doing on this day? I hope well and
bubbling in the Lord.
Primary Text
“May God give you more and more grace and
peace as you grow in your knowledge of God and Jesus our Lord.” 2 Peter 1v2
(NLT)
“May grace (God’s favor) and peace (which is
perfect well-being, all necessary good, all spiritual prosperity, and freedom
from fears and agitating passions and moral conflicts) be multiplied to you in
[the full, personal, precise, and correct] knowledge of God and of Jesus our
Lord.” 2 Peter 1v2 (AMP)
In the verse above, a relationship between an
increase in grace and peace, and the full, personal, precise, and correct
knowledge of God and of Jesus our Lord is put forth. As you get to know God and
the Lord Jesus more, you become to understand the depth of His love for you.
You become aware that His grace is available and sufficient for you. Your
reliance on Him increases and You appreciate more the fact that without Him You
are nothing and apart from Him You can do nothing. As you increase in the
knowledge of God and our Lord Jesus Christ, not a tainted knowledge, but begin
to see His heart, know His ways, and commit yourself more to Him, His peace
begins to envelop you, as you learn to accept all that He has for you and lean
completely on Him. Isaiah 26v3 (AMP) saying “You will guard him and keep him in perfect and constant peace whose mind [both its
inclination and its character] is stayed on You, because he commits himself to
You, leans on You, and hopes
confidently in You.” Amen.
Supplementary Text
“Wherefore I also, after I heard of your faith
in the Lord Jesus, and love unto all the saints, Cease not to give thanks for
you, making mention of you in my prayers; That the God of our Lord Jesus
Christ, the Father of glory, may give unto you the spirit of wisdom and
revelation in the knowledge of Him: The eyes of your understanding being
enlightened; that ye may know what is the hope of His calling, and what the
riches of the glory of His inheritance in the saints, And what is the exceeding
greatness of His power to us-ward who believe, according to the working of His
mighty power, Which He wrought in Christ, when He raised Him from the dead, and
set Him at His own right hand in the heavenly places,” Ephesians 1v15-20 (KJV)
