Don' Worry (2)
Hello everyone,
How are you doing on this day? I hope well and
bubbling in the Lord.
Primary Text
“Give all your worries and cares to God, for
He cares for you.” 1 Peter 5v7 (NLT)
“Casting the whole of your care [all your
anxieties, all your worries, all your concerns, once and for all] on Him, for
He cares for you affectionately and cares about you watchfully.” 1 Peter
5v7 (AMP)
Child of God, God is in control. Nothing
catches Him by surprise and there is nothing that He cannot handle. So why are
you worrying? Interestingly, two cares are used in the verse above. The first
care can mean “a cause or object of worry, anxiety, concern, etc.” What do we
do with these cares? We are to cast it to God or give it to Him. To cast can
mean “to throw or hurl; fling.” And why should we do this, because God cares
for us. Thus comes the second meaning of the care in the verse: “to have an
inclination, liking, fondness, or affection (usually followed by for).” (www.dictionary.com).
Child of God, God cares for you, so give Him Your cares? ALL of them – the
little, big, seemingly irrelevant … if it is becoming a care for you, cast it
unto the One who cares for you. Trust me, He can handle it. No, you are not
disturbing Him. His Word says “Pile your troubles on God’s shoulders – He’ll
carry your load, He’ll help you out. He’ll never let good people topple into
ruin” (Psalm 55v22, MSG). Are
you lacking peace? Is something bothering you? Go and take it to the Lord. Talk
to Him about it. “Trust in, lean on, rely on, and have confidence in Him
at all times, you people; pour out your hearts before Him. God is a refuge for
us (a fortress and a high tower). Selah [pause, and calmly think of
that]!” And God’s Word is for all people – young, old, father, mother,
everyone, you don’t need to shoulder that problem by yourself. Talk to the Lord
about it! And if you do not know the Lord, go to Him and talk to Him for His
Word says “And it shall be that whoever shall call upon the name of the Lord
[invoking, adoring, and worshiping the Lord – Christ] shall be saved.” Acts
2v21 (AMP)
Prayer
Cast your cares on God – let Him help you!
