What are you hearing?
Hello
everyone,
How
are you doing on this day? I hope well and bubbling in the Lord.
Primary Text
“Fear
not [there is nothing to fear], for I am with you; do not look around you in
terror and be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen and harden you to
difficulties, yes, I will help you; yes, I will hold you up and retain you with
My [victorious] right hand of rightness and justice.” Isaiah 41v10 (AMP)
The
Bible lets us know that there are many voices in the world, and none of them is
without signification. We have the voice of God, the voice of the world, our
own voices, the voice of the enemy e.t.c. Whose voice are you heeding and
listening to? God’s voice will usually speak peace and calm to every situation.
People came from Jarius’ home and said “Your daughter has died. Why bother and
distress the Teacher any further?” (Mark 5v35, AMP). But Jesus’ response to him
was different - “Overhearing but ignoring what they said, Jesus said to the
ruler of the synagogue, Do not be seized with alarm and struck with fear, only
keep on believing” (Mark 5v36, AMP). We need to become experts at ignoring
certain voices like Jesus did. Another thing we do to voices is to condemn
them. Isaiah 54v17 (AMPC) says “But no weapon that is formed against you shall
prosper, and every tongue that shall rise against you in judgment you shall
show to be in the wrong. This [peace, righteousness, security, triumph over
opposition] is the heritage of the servants of the Lord [those in whom the
ideal Servant of the Lord is reproduced]; this is the righteousness or the
vindication which they obtain from Me [this is that which I impart to them as
their justification], says the Lord.” Why don’t you begin to put to wrong and
condemn any word that has been spoken in judgment against you? As children of
God, we need to be full of the Word of God. When the enemy came and tempted
Jesus, He would always respond with “It is written….” We need to know what is
written to stand against the enemy, for we know that the Sword of the Spirit is
the Word of God.
Prayer
Father,
we thank You for Your Word this day. We thank You for Your voice which is
mighty. We believe in You and magnify Your Word and Your say above all else. Be
glorified in all that we do in Jesus name, amen.
