Never Put to Shame!
Hello
everyone,
How
are you doing? I hope well and bubbling in the Lord. Indeed, we have a great
and mighty God and a wonderful inheritance. Hallelujah. Jesus lives.
Primary Text:
“For
thus it stands in Scripture: Behold, I am laying in Zion a chosen (honored),
precious chief Cornerstone, and he who believes in Him [who adheres to, trusts
in, and relies on Him] shall never be disappointed or put to shame.” 1 Peter
2v6 (AMP).
Hallelujah.
What a word? What an assurance! The Bible here is telling us about Jesus, the
chosen, honored, precious chief Cornerstone. Sin brings shame, reproach,
discontentment. Hebrews 12v1-2 (NLT) tells us “Therefore, since we are
surrounded by such a huge crowd of witnesses to the life of faith, let us strip
off every weight that slows us down, especially the sin that so easily trips us
up. And let us run with endurance the race God has set before us. We do this by
keeping our eyes on Jesus, the champion who initiates and perfects our faith.
Because of the joy awaiting Him, He endured the cross, disregarding the shame.
Now He is seated in the place of honor beside God’s throne.” Jesus did so much
for us. Isaiah 53v4-5 (NLT) says “Yet it was our weaknesses He carried; it was
our sorrows that weighed Him down. And we thought His troubles were a
punishment from God, a punishment for His own sins! But He was pierced for our
rebellion, crushed for our sins. He was beaten so we could be whole. He was
whipped so we could be healed.” 1 Corinthians 9v8 (NLT) tells us that “You know
the generous grace of our Lord Jesus Christ. Though He was rich, yet for your
sakes He became poor, so that by His poverty He could make you rich.” Jesus
made an exchange, taking on things that would bring shame to us such as
poverty, iniquity, sickness, weakness, sorrow. He took it upon Himself. Now we
know, that through believing in Him, we will not be put to shame.

“They
looked to Him and were radiant; their faces shall never blush for shame or be
confused.” Psalm 34v5 (AMP)
