Do not be Afraid

Dearly beloved. I trust this finds you well and bubbling in the Lord. With the spread of the Corona Virus, there is much that may want to bring fear and trepidation to your hearts. But God is saying to us as a people – do not be afraid. Psalm 46v1-2 (AMPC) says “God is our Refuge and Strength [mighty and impenetrable to temptation], a very present and well-proved help in trouble. Therefore we will not fear, though the earth should change and though the mountains be shaken into the midst of the seas.”

Because God is our Refuge and Strength, because He is our help, there is no need to fear. Even when things in this earth are changing rapidly from day to day, and life as we know it is changing, don’t be afraid. God made you, God made the earth, God cares about you, and He will take care of you. Draw strength from the Lord (Ephesians 6v10), and do not allow yourself to be fearful (John 14v27).
