The Grand Plan

Hello everyone,
How are you doing on this day? I hope well and bubbling in the Lord.
We thank God for His love for us, His grace and His mercy over our
lives. When a man and a woman are getting married, there is the
ceremonial words that they are asked to repeat – to have and to hold,
to love and to cherish, in sickness and in health, for richer, for
poorer, till death do us part. As believers, there is also a wedding
celebration that we are involved in, that of Christ and His church.
The wonderful thing about this marriage is that, it is one which lasts
forever. It is one in which the Bridegroom has paid the price for His
bride, with His own blood. Some cultures pay dowry of some particular
amount, but the price that had to be paid for us, was much greater
than any money, it was a life. It was God Himself having to give of
Himself for us. And it was the Son of God having to willingly lay His
life for us. He wanted you and I that much. You may be wondering – why
me? What is so special about me? In His sight, you are special, you
are His creation and He loves you dearly, and He has given His life
for you – so what are you going to do about it? The Bridegroom is
knocking today. How are you going to respond?

“Husbands, love your wives, even as Christ also loved the church, and
gave Himself for it;” Ephesians 5v25
