It is but a light thing

Hello everyone,

How are you doing on this day? I hope well and bubbling in the Lord.

Primary Text
But now bring me a minstrel. And it came to pass, when the minstrel played, that the hand of the Lord came upon him. And he said, Thus saith the Lord, Make this valley full of ditches. For thus saith the Lord, Ye shall not see wind, neither shall ye see rain; yet that valley shall be filled with water, that ye may drink, both ye, and your cattle, and your beasts. And this is but a light thing in the sight of the Lord: He will deliver the Moabites also into your hand.” 2 Kings 3v15-18 (KJV)

The NIV says this is an easy thing in the eyes of the Lord (v18). Indeed we know that with God nothing shall be impossible. He is the God of all flesh. God said that He would fill the valley with water and they won’t even see wind or rain – and that is an easy thing for Him to do. Without having any money in your bank account, God can clothe you and feed you, and that is a light thing for Him to do. Without you being of the age where you can conceive children anymore and you and your husband being so old, He can give you a child, and that is but a light thing. Without Mary haven known any man He gave her a child, and that is but a light thing – for with God nothing shall be impossible. He can heal the sick, make dry bones to live again, ensure that you are protected – and that is but a light thing. Beloved, what is that thing that seems impossible? What is that thing that you are struggling with? Have faith in God. Stop looking for the wind and the rain and pondering how would God do it. Have faith in God. “Now faith is the assurance (the confirmation, the title deed) of the things [we] hope for, being the proof of things [we] do not see and the conviction of their reality [faith perceiving as real fact what is not revealed to the senses]” (Hebrews 11v1, AMP). God said it, believe it and let that settle it. I love to get to the point of God, I don’t know how You are going to do it, but I know it is well. Because God is in control and there is nothing too hard for Him (Genesis 18v14).

Supplementary Text
“Have faith in God,” Jesus answered. “Truly I tell you, if anyone says to this mountain, ‘Go, throw yourself into the sea,’ and does not doubt in their heart but believes that what they say will happen, it will be done for them. Therefore I tell you, whatever you ask for in prayer, believe that you have received it, and it will be yours.” Mark 11v22-24 (NIV)

Prayer

Father, we thank You that there is nothing too hard for You. You are indeed the God of all flesh. In the life of all of Your children, make the impossible possible, and let them know that it is but a light thing for You to do in Jesus name, amen.
