One Spirit
Hello
everyone,
How
are you doing on this day? I hope well and bubbling in the Lord. We thank God
for His goodness and lovingkindness.
Primary Text
“For
by one Spirit are we all baptized into one body, whether we be Jews or Gentiles,
whether we be bond or free; and have been all made to drink into one Spirit.” 1
Corinthians 14v13-14 (KJV)
Every
person who becomes born again by accepting Jesus as their Lord and Saviour,
receives His Spirit (Romans 8v9). We are all baptized by this one Spirit, not
any other spirit, into the body of Christ. In Matthew 3v11 (AMP), John the
Baptist said “I indeed baptize you in (with) water because of repentance [that
is, because of your changing your minds for the better, heartily amending your
ways, with abhorrence for your past sins]. But He Who is coming after me is
mightier than I, Whose sandals I am not worthy or fit to take off or carry; He
will baptize you with the Holy Spirit and with fire.” As believers, regardless
of our backgrounds, who we are or where we come from, as long as we are
children of God, we drink of the same Spirit. There is no segregation.
Galatians 3v26-28 (NLT) says “For you are all children of God through faith in
Christ Jesus. And all who have been united with Christ in baptism have put on
Christ, like putting on new clothes. There is no longer Jew or Gentile, slave
or free, male or female. For you are all one in Christ Jesus.” Hallelujah!
Supplementary Text
“I
therefore, the prisoner of the Lord, beseech you that ye walk worthy of the
vocation wherewith ye are called, With all lowliness and meekness, with
longsuffering, forbearing one another in love; Endeavouring to keep the unity
of the Spirit in the bond of peace. There is one body, and one Spirit, even as
ye are called in one hope of your calling; One Lord, one faith, one baptism,
One God and Father of all, who is above all, and through all, and in you all.”
Ephesians 4v1-6 (KJV).
Prayer
Our
Father in heaven, we thank You and bless Your holy name. Indeed You are faithful.
Almighty God, we thank You for believers all over the world. We thank You for
we are one body, and have one Spirit, one Lord, one faith, one baptism, one God
and Father of all, who is above all, and through all and in us all. Blessed be
Your holy name forevermore in Jesus name, amen.
