Preserving my Spirit
Hello everyone,
How are you doing on this day? I hope well and
bubbling in the Lord.
Primary Text
“… and may your spirit and soul and body be
preserved sound and complete [and found] blameless at the coming of our Lord
Jesus Christ (the Messiah). “ 1 Thessalonians 5v23 (AMP)
We thank God that apart from preserving our
bodies, souls (minds, emotions and wills), He is more than able to preserve our
spirits. The spirit of man is the real you – the part of you that gets born
again. 1 Corinthians 5v17 (KJV) saying “Therefore if any man be in Christ, he
is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become
new.” After we become born of God, our spirits need to be preserved sound and
complete and found blameless at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ. God is
able to keep us and preserve us. 1 Peter 1v3-5 (TLB) says “All honor to God,
the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ; for it is His boundless mercy that
has given us the privilege of being born again so that we are now members of
God’s own family. Now we live in the hope of eternal life because Christ rose
again from the dead. And God has reserved for His children the priceless gift
of eternal life; it is kept in heaven for you, pure and undefiled, beyond the
reach of change and decay. And God, in His mighty power, will make sure that
you get there safely to receive it because you are trusting Him. It will be
yours in that coming last day for all to see.” Indeed we are kept by the power
of God, through our faith in Him.
Supplementary Text
“Now to Him Who is able to keep you without
stumbling or slipping or falling, and to present [you] unblemished (blameless
and faultless) before the presence of His glory in triumphant joy and
exultation [with unspeakable, ecstatic delight] –“ Jude 1v24 (AMP)
Prayer
Father, we thank You for the salvation of our
souls, and for how far You have kept us. I commit my spirit into Your hands o
God, for You are able to keep me from falling and present me blameless before
the presence of Your glory. To the only wise God our Saviour, be glory and
majesty, dominion and power, both now and ever. Amen.
