Denying the Truth

How are you doing on this day? I hope well and bubbling in the Lord.

“He came into the world, and though the world was made through Him, the world did not recognize Him [did not know Him].” John 1v10 (AMP)

While on the one hand we know that “The Good News that we tell people may be hidden, but it is hidden only to those who are lost. The ruler of this world has blinded the minds of those who don’t believe. They cannot see the light of the Good News – the message about the divine greatness of Christ. Christ is the One who is exactly like God.” (2 Corinthians 4v3-4, ERV). On the other hand, we find that there is truth to be seen in the world that men push away, because they prefer to do evil. Even when Jesus the Light of the world came in, some run away from this Light so that their deeds are not exposed. Romans 1v18 – 22; 28-29 (TLB) says “But God shows His anger from heaven against all sinful, evil men who push away the truth from them. For the truth about God is known to them instinctively; God has put this knowledge in their hearts. Since earliest times men have seen the earth and sky and all God made, and have know of His existence and great eternal power. So they will have no excuse when they stand before God at Judgment Day. Yes, they knew about Him all right, but they wouldn’t admit it or worship Him or even thank Him for all His daily care. And after a while they began to think up silly ideas of what God was like and what He wanted them to do. The result was that their foolish minds became dark and confused. Claiming themselves to be wise without God, they became utter fools instead… So it was that when they gave God up and would not even acknowledge Him, God gave them up to doing everything their evil minds could think of. Their lives became full of every kind of wickedness and sin, of greed and hate, envy, murder, fighting, lying, bitterness, and gossip.” And many other evil deeds of which we can testify to seeing in the world. Are you denying the truth today? Are you pushing back from the knowledge of God?

Prayer

Father we thank You for Your Word. We ask for mercy in any way we have denied the Truth. Please Father never ever remove Your hand of restrain from us in Jesus name, amen.
