Add Knowledge (3)

“And besides this, giving all diligence, add to your faith virtue; and to virtue knowledge;” 2 Peter 1v5 (KJV)

There are indeed many benefits to having the knowledge of God. 2 Peter 1v2-3 (TLB) says “Do you want more and more of God’s kindness and peace? Then learn to know Him better and better. For as you know Him better, He will give you, through His great power, everything you need for living a truly good life: He even shares His own glory and His own goodness with us!” Child of God are you constantly feeling unsettled? Are you lacking peace and freedom? Do you feel frightened and scared? It is time to get closer to God. Begin to dig deep into the Word of God and fellowship with God; the more you do so, the more you know about who He is to you, His promises concerning you, and enjoy the benefits of His presence like fullness of joy. Proverbs 2v3-6 (KJV) says “Yea, if thou criest after knowledge, and liftest up thy voice for understanding; If thou seekest her as silver, and searchest for her as for hid treasures; Then shalt thou understand the fear of the LORD, and find the knowledge of God. For the LORD giveth wisdom: out of His mouth cometh knowledge and understanding.”

Prayer

Our Father in heaven we thank You for out of Your mouth comes knowledge and understanding. Father we cry out to You today to ask You for knowledge. Grant us wisdom, understanding and knowledge O God for every aspect of our lives. We ask all these in Jesus name, amen.
