In the Name of Jesus

How are you doing on this day? I hope well and bubbling in the Lord.

“And whatsoever ye shall ask in My name, that will I do that the Father may be glorified in the Son. If ye shall ask any thing in My name, I will do it.” John 14v13-14 (KJV)

There is a Name that is so wonderful, powerful, beautiful, gracious, blessed and above every other name; that name is Jesus. In the world, there is a hierarchy of power that is very visible. A sibling can tell another sibling that mummy or daddy asked you to do this or that. The other sibling might respond, are you sure? Yes I am sure says the first one, and then the second is bound to do that work, because a greater authority – mummy or daddy has given the word. An employee may pass on a message from a boss to another employee and the latter is obligated to do it because a higher power has bidden them to. So it is with the name of Jesus. Philippians 2v9-11 (KJV) says “Wherefore God hath highly exalted Him, and given Him a name which is above every name: That at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of things in heaven, and things in earth, and things under the earth; And that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.” Beloved, there is power in the name of Jesus. Are there things in your life that do not glorify God or need to be changed? Pray in the name of Jesus. Take your stand as an executor of the will of God here on earth in the name of Jesus.
