For God so loved the world!!!
Hello everyone,
How are you doing today? I hope well and bubbling in the Lord.
Primary Text
“For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son,
….” John 3v16 (KJV)
“For God so greatly loved and
dearly prized the world that He [even] gave up His only begotten (unique) Son,
…” John 3v16 (AMP)
God so loved the world, and He didn’t stop there. Instead, He
demonstrated the love He had for us by sending His Son to die for us, that we
through the death and resurrection of Jesus, by believing in Jesus and
accepting what He did for us, might be reconciled to God. 1 John 4v10 (NIV)
says “This is love: not that we loved God, but that He loved us and sent His
Son as an atoning sacrifice for our sins.” Why was Jesus sent as a sacrifice?
Well, the Bible tells us that “In fact, the law requires that nearly everything
be cleansed with blood, and without the shedding of blood there is no
forgiveness.” Hebrews 9v22 (NIV). Thank You Jesus. The Bible also makes it
clear that Jesus also willingly laid down His life for us. John 10v17-18 (AMP)
says “For this [reason] the Father loves Me, because I lay down My [own] life –
to take it back again. No one takes it away from Me. On the contrary, I lay it
down voluntarily. [I put it from Myself.] I am authorized and have power to lay it down (to resign it) and I am authorized and have power to take it back again. These
are the instructions (orders) which I have received [as My charge] from My
Father.”
Supplementary Text
“While we were yet in
weakness [powerless to help ourselves], at the fitting time Christ died for (in
behalf of) the ungodly. Now it is an extraordinary thing for one to give his
life even for an upright man, though perhaps for a noble and lovable and generous
benefactor someone might even dare to die. But God shows and clearly proves His [own] love for us by the fact that while we
were still sinners, Christ (the Messiah, the Anointed One) died for us.
Therefore, since we are now justified (acquitted, made righteous, and brought
into right relationship with God) by Christ’s blood, how much more [certain is
it that] we shall be saved by Him from the indignation and wrath of God. For if while we were enemies we were reconciled
to God through the death of His Son, it is much more [certain], now that we are
reconciled, that we shall be saved (daily delivered from sin’s dominion)
through His [resurrection] life. Not only so, but we also rejoice and exultingly glory in God [in His love
and perfection] through our Lord Jesus Christ, through Whom we have now
received and enjoy [our]
reconciliation.” Romans 5v6-11 (AMP)
Prayer
Father, we thank You for everything. Thank You for demonstrating
Your love for us by sending Jesus to die for us. Thank You Jesus for laying
down Your life for us. We love and appreciate You Father, Son and Holy Spirit,
in Jesus name, amen.
