Strength

Hello everyone,

How are you doing today? I hope well and bubbling in the Lord. One of the things we need as human beings and as believers is strength. We need spiritual strength, strength in our souls – mind, emotions, and will, as well as in our bodies. Paul recognized this when he said this prayer for the Colossians: “We also pray that you will be strengthened with all His glorious power so you will have all the endurance and patience you need. May you be filled with joy,” (Colossians 1v11, NLT).

In Ephesians 3v16 (AMPC), Paul prayed for the Ephesians saying “ May He grant you out of the rich treasury of His glory to be strengthened and reinforced with mighty power in the inner man by the [Holy] Spirit [Himself indwelling your innermost being and personality].” The New Living Translation says “ I pray that from His glorious, unlimited resources He will empower you with inner strength through His Spirit.”

We call God omnipotent meaning all powerful. He is the One who will give us the strength, by His within us. I am reminded of the scripture that says “Then he answered and spake unto me, saying, This is the word of the Lord unto Zerubbabel, saying, Not by might, nor by power, but by my spirit, saith the Lord of hosts” (Zechariah 4v6, KJV). Are you in need of strength today? Is your will diminishing, is your spirit weak, are your emotions flailing? Let God strengthen you. Psalm 73v26 (AMP) says “My flesh and my heart may fail, but God is the Rock and firm Strength of my heart and my Portion forever.” Amen. Are you in need of strength today? Turn to the Strength of Israel (1 Samuel 15v29), and let Him strengthen you, He won’t fail you, and He will harden you to difficulties. Praise the Lord.

Prayer
Father, we thank You for You are Strength. We pray o God that You will empower us with inner strength through Your Spirit. We pray that the strength and power of Christ will show itself strong in all of our weaknesses, and pitch a tent and dwell over us. Father, be glorified in our lives. Please send laborers, send us to those who do not know You, and let Your name alone be glorified. We say come Lord Jesus, and look forward to spending eternity with You, in Jesus name we pray with thanksgiving, amen.
