Keep your hope alive!!!
Hello
everyone,
How
are you doing on this day, I hope well and bubbling in the Lord. We thank God
for faith, but we also thank God for hope. Romans 12v12 tells us to “Rejoice
and exult in hope…” The dictionary defines hope as “a feeling of expectation
and desire for a particular thing to happen” and “a feeling of trust. Synonyms
of hope include expect, trust, anticipate, wish, look forward to, expectation,
optimism, faith, hopefulness.
Hope
is a very powerful force. Hebrews 11v1 says “Faith shows the reality of what we
hope for; it is the evidence of things we cannot see.” As believers, we place
our hope on the Word of God. God says something, we believe Him and begin to
hope for that thing to come to pass. It is so important that we keep our hope
alive. For example, we are confident that Jesus is coming back for the church
His bride. We should also remain hopeful concerning other things we are
trusting God for.
Let’s
see what Romans 4v18-22 (NLT) says about Abraham: “ Even when there was no
reason for hope, Abraham kept hoping—believing that he would become the father
of many nations. For God had said to him, “That’s how many descendants you will
have!” And Abraham’s faith did not weaken, even though, at about 100 years
of age, he figured his body was as good as dead—and so was Sarah’s womb. Abraham
never wavered in believing God’s promise. In fact, his faith grew stronger, and
in this he brought glory to God. He was fully convinced that God is able
to do whatever he promises. And because of Abraham’s faith, God counted
him as righteous.” Hallelujah. Child of God, keep your hope alive. Keep your
faith in God alive – it is a righteous thing to do!
Prayer
Father,
we thank You so much for this day. We thank You for Your faithfulness and Your
love. What a great, merciful and faithful God You are. Today Daddy, we commit
to keeping our hope alive, even when circumstances tell us there is no reason
to hope. It is You we will look up to; trusting in You and Your never failing
Word. Thank You so much o God, in Jesus name we pray, amen.
