How are you doing on this day? I hope well and bubbling in the Lord.

“They are astonished and think it very queer that you do not now run hand in hand with them in the same excesses of dissipation, and they abuse [you]. But they will have to give an account to Him Who is ready to judge and pass sentence on the living and the dead.” 1 Peter 4v4-5 (AMP)

The fact that we know the truth now, and we will one day give an account of ourselves to the righteous judge, is one reason why we don’t turn back when we have friends who we were very close to before, but who slander and abuse us after we become believers and do not do the same things we used to anymore, and they find it difficult to accept the new us. You know what and who you have and now believe in. For your sake therefore, don’t go back into sin. Hebrews 6v4-6 (AMP) tells us that “For it is impossible [to restore and bring again to repentance] those who have been once for all enlightened, who have consciously tasted the heavenly gift and have become sharers of the Holy Spirit, And have felt how good the Word of God is and the mighty powers of the age and world to come, If they then deviate from the faith and turn away from their allegiance – [it is impossible] to bring them back to repentance, for (because, while, as long as) they nail upon the cross the Son of God afresh [as far as they are concerned] and are holding [Him] up to contempt and shame and public disgrace.” And for their sake as well, if they continue to observe your character and your new nature in Christ and see that this is for real, perhaps, through you, they will be changed.

Hebrews 9v27-28 (NLT) lets us know “And just as each person is destined to die once and after that comes judgment, so also Christ died once for all time as a sacrifice to take away the sins of many people. He will come again, not to deal with our sins, but to bring salvation to all who are eagerly waiting for Him.”  

Prayer

Heavenly Father I thank You so much for the privilege of knowing You and serving You. Father I pray for the grace to continue to follow You. I pray also for my friends, family and loved ones who do not know You. Please send labourers to them. Use me to be a light to them. And when You return, may we all be rapturable in Jesus name, amen. Thank You for hearing and answering my prayers in Jesus name, amen.
