Except the LORD

Dear friend, I trust this finds you well. “Except the Lord builds the house, they labor in vain who build it, except the Lord keeps the city, the watchman wakes but in vain.” Psalm 127v1 (AMP) here is a strong reminder that God needs to be involved in all that we are doing for it to be successful. We see this in Psalm 37v5 (AMP) which tells us “Commit your way to the Lord [roll and repose each care of your load on Him]: trust (lean on, rely on, and be confident) also in Him and He will bring it to pass.” In these two verses, we can ask ourselves, who does the building? The Lord. Who brings our ways to pass? The Lord.

Father, we thank You because You are God. Lord Jesus, we honour You. Spirit of truth we appreciate You. We commit our ways to You o Lord, be the builder of our house – that is all that pertains to us. Lead us in Your way. We wait on You to bring to pass Your purpose for us. All this we pray, with thanksgiving, in Jesus name, amen.
