Go to Jesus, He Understands
Dearly
beloved. Do you notice that you are better able to sympathize with people once
you have gone through a similar experience with them? For example, I better
understand what mothers go through now that I am a mother. I can sympathize
with those having job interviews because I had to go through them. It is
incredible that one of the awesome things our Lord Jesus did was to become
human and undergo testing and trials, such as we experience while on earth.
This made Him a High Priest who isn’t removed from what you are experiencing.
He has been there before.
Be
encouraged from Hebrews 4:15-16 (AMP) which says “For we do not have a High
Priest who is unable to sympathize and understand our weaknesses and temptations,
but One who has been tempted [knowing exactly how it feels to be human] in
every respect as we are, yet without [committing any] sin. Therefore let us
[with privilege] approach the throne of grace [that is, the throne of God’s
gracious favor] with confidence and without fear, so that we may receive mercy
[for our failures] and find [His amazing] grace to help in time of need [an
appropriate blessing, coming just at the right moment].” Why not approach God’s
throne of grace with every care and burden and worry. He understands.
