Won’t You Come (2)
Hello everyone. I trust this finds you well and bubbling in the Lord. We thank God for the privilege of being able to come to Him and the fact that He really wants us to come.
Primary Text
“For we do not have a High Priest Who is unable
to understand and sympathize and have a shared feeling with our weaknesses and
infirmities and liability to the assaults of temptation, but One Who has been
tempted in every respect as we are, yet without sinning. Let us then fearlessly
and confidently and boldly draw near to the throne of grace (the throne of
God's unmerited favor to us sinners), that we may receive mercy [for our
failures] and find grace to help in good time for every need [appropriate help
and well-timed help, coming just when we need it].” Hebrews 4:15-16 (AMPC)
“He understands humanity, for as a Man, our magnificent King-Priest was tempted
in every way just as we are, and conquered sin. So now we come freely and
boldly to where love is enthroned, to receive mercy’s kiss and discover the
grace we urgently need to strengthen us in our time of weakness.” Hebrews 4:15-16 (TPT)
The Bible lets us know that we have a priest, Jesus, who understands our
weaknesses and all we are going through. Yesterday, we looked at Matthew 11:28
where Jesus said all those who are weary and heavy laden should come to Him,
and He will give us rest. Today, we are encouraged to come boldly, confidently
and fearlessly to God’s throne of grace and there we will receive mercy and
find grace for our time of need. Are you in need today? Go to God. He is
calling to you.
Prayer
Father, we
thank You because we can come to You for help. Thank You Jesus because You
understand. We come to You this day and we thank You because we receive rest,
mercy and grace. Blessed be Your holy name forever more, in Jesus name we pray,
amen.
