The Helper (3)
Dearly beloved. I trust this finds you well and bubbling in the Lord. We thank God for giving us the Helper, the Holy Spirit to be in us and with us forever. The Holy Spirit helps us to live lives that glorify God, to walk in His will and He brings to pass God’s purposes through us. If we follow the leading of the Spirit, we won’t do things that God doesn’t like.
Scriptural References
“Now to Him Who, by (in consequence of) the [action of
His] power that is at work within us, is able to [carry out His purpose and] do
superabundantly, far over and above all that we [dare] ask or think [infinitely
beyond our highest prayers, desires, thoughts, hopes, or dreams] — To Him be
glory in the church and in Christ Jesus throughout all generations forever and
ever. Amen (so be it).” Ephesians 3v20-21 (AMPC)
“Dearest friends, when I was there with you, you were
always so careful to follow my instructions. And now that I am away you must be
even more careful to do the good things that result from being saved, obeying
God with deep reverence, shrinking back from all that might displease him. For
God is at work within you, helping you want to obey him, and then helping you
do what he wants.” Philippians 2v12-13 (TLB)
“For those who are living according to the flesh set
their minds on the things of the flesh [which gratify the body], but those who
are living according to the Spirit, [set their minds on] the things of the
Spirit [His will and purpose]. Now the mind of the flesh is death [both now and
forever—because it pursues sin]; but the mind of the Spirit is life and peace
[the spiritual well-being that comes from walking with God—both now and
forever];” Romans 8v5-6 (AMP)
