Love Thy Neighbour
Dearly Beloved, I trust this finds you well and bubbling in the Lord. God will have us be kind and good to other people – strangers, friends, family, and the family of God. God is someone who makes the sun to shine on both the good and the evil. We as His children extend His love to others on the earth. We remember the story of the Good Samaritan who showed kindness to a stranger who has been beaten up by robbers on the street, taking him to an inn for him to be taken care of and paying the bills for the care. Let’s be kind to the least of people.
Biblical Reference
“When we have the
opportunity to help anyone, we should do it. But we should give special
attention to those who are in the family of believers.” Galatians 6v10 (NCV)
“When you help the
poor you are lending to the Lord—and he pays wonderful interest on your loan!”
Proverbs 19v17 (The Living Bible)
“And the King will
reply to them, Truly I tell you, in so far as you did it for one of the least [in
the estimation of men] of these My brethren, you did it for Me. Then He will
say to those at His left hand, Begone from Me, you cursed, into the eternal
fire prepared for the devil and his angels! For I was hungry and you gave Me no
food, I was thirsty and you gave Me nothing to drink, I was a stranger and you
did not welcome Me and entertain Me, I was naked and you did not clothe Me, I
was sick and in prison and you did not visit Me with help and ministering care.
Then they also [in their turn] will answer, Lord, when did we see You hungry or
thirsty or a stranger or naked or sick or in prison, and did not minister to
You? And He will reply to them, Solemnly I declare to you, in so far as you
failed to do it for the least [in the estimation of men] of these, you failed
to do it for Me.” Matthew 25v40-45 (AMPC)
Prayer
