The Gift of Salvation (3)

Dearly Beloved. I trust this finds you well and bubbling in the Lord. We thank God for the gift of salvation and how we can now draw near to Him boldly and with confidence in any time of need. Ephesians 2v12-13 (TLB) says “Remember that in those days you were living utterly apart from Christ; you were enemies of God’s children, and he had promised you no help. You were lost, without God, without hope. But now you belong to Christ Jesus, and though you once were far away from God, now you have been brought very near to him because of what Jesus Christ has done for you with his blood.”

Hallelujah. Indeed, we who believe in Christ Jesus have become children of God. We are no longer enemies of God without access to God’s help. Let us not roam about in anxiety, and fear, wringing our hands thinking of what to do. Draw near to God and He will draw near to you. Bring your cares and burdens to Him because He cares for you. Hebrews 4v16 (AMPC) says “Let us then fearlessly and confidently and boldly draw near to the throne of grace (the throne of God’s unmerited favor to us sinners), that we may receive mercy [for our failures] and find grace to help in good time for every need [appropriate help and well-timed help, coming just when we need it].” Hallelujah. Let us draw near.
