The Spirit of Truth (2)
Hello
everyone,
How
are you doing on this day? I hope well and bubbling in the Lord.
Primary Text
“But
it was to us that God revealed these things by His Spirit. For His Spirit
searches out everything and shows us God’s deep secrets. No one can know a
person’s thoughts except that person’s own spirit, and no one can know God’s
thoughts except God’s own Spirit.” 1 Corinthians 2v10-11 (NLT)
“But
you’ve seen and heard it because God by His Spirit has brought it all out into
the open before you. The Spirit, not content to flit around on the surface,
dives into the depths of God, and brings out what God planned all along. Who
ever knows what you’re thinking and planning except you yourself? The same with
God – except that He not only knows what He’s thinking, but He let’s us in on
it.” 1 Corinthians 2v10-11 (MSG)
Hallelujah.
Thank God for His Holy Spirit. We see even with Scripture, how the Holy Spirit
moved men of old to write, even as 1 Peter 1v20-21 (NIV) says “Above all, you
must understand that no prophecy of Scripture came about by the prophet’s own
interpretation of things. For prophecy never had its origin in the human will,
but prophets, though human, spoke from God as they were carried along by the
Holy Spirit.” Thank God for His Spirit. Now those who do not belong to Jesus,
do not have the Holy Spirit. But for us who know the Lord, we see how John
14v26 (NIV) tells us “But the Advocate, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will
send in My name, will teach you all things and will remind you of everything I
have said to you.” As Paul writes in Colossians 1v9 (NIV) I pray that God will
“… fill you with the knowledge of His will through all the wisdom and
understanding that the Spirit gives,” in Jesus name, amen. It is therefore
important to cultivate the fellowship of the Holy Spirit, and be aware of His
presence in and with you. Moreover Jude 1v20 (AMP) says “But you, beloved,
build yourselves up [founded] on your most holy faith [make progress, rise like
an edifice higher and higher], praying in the Holy Spirit;”
Supplementary Text
“Now
we have not received the spirit [that belongs to] the world, but the [Holy]
Spirit Who is from God, [given to us] that we might realize and comprehend and
appreciate the gifts [of divine favor and blessing so freely and lavishly]
bestowed on us by God.” 1 Corinthians 2v12 (AMP)
Prayer
Father,
we thank You for Your Word. We thank You for illumination. We pray that the
grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, the love of God and the fellowship of the Holy
Spirit be with us now and forevermore, in Jesus name, amen.
