Liberty
Hello
everyone,
How
are you doing on this day? I hope well and bubbling in the Lord.
Primary Text
“Am
I not free?...” 1 Corinthians 9v1 (NIV).
Not
everyone who is not in prison is free. People could be in prison spiritually,
captive to life-controlling habits, emotionally imprisoned and prone to sorrow,
depression, suicidal thoughts, could be imprisoned by the fear of men, not able
to get out of a relationship that is hurting or hurtful. Some are prisoners to
their past. Indeed John 10v10 (AMP) tells us “The thief comes only in order to
steal and kill and destroy. I came that they may have and enjoy life, and have
it in abundance (to the full, till it overflows).” Thank God for Jesus. I John
3v8 (AMP) says “[But] he who commits sin [who practices evildoing] is of the
devil [takes his character from the evil one], for the devil has sinned
(violated the divine law) from the beginning. The reason the Son of God was
made manifest (visible) was to undo (destroy, loosen, and dissolve) the works
the devil [has done].” Jesus came to undo all the bad things that the devil has
done. Are you in anyway bound? Go to Jesus. Take it to God in prayer. He is
able to destroy every work of the evil one. If you are the Lord’s, you become
His, and are translated away from the dominion of the devil! (Colossians 1v13).
“But thank God! He has made us His captives and continues to lead us along in
Christ’s triumphal procession. Now He uses us to spread the knowledge of Christ
everywhere, like a sweet perfume.”
Supplementary Text
“The
Spirit of the Lord [is] upon Me, because He has anointed Me [the Anointed One,
the Messiah] to preach the good news (the Gospel) to the poor; He has sent Me
to announce release to the captives and recovery of sight to the blind, to send
forth as delivered those who are oppressed [who are downtrodden, bruised,
crushed, and broken down by calamity], To proclaim the accepted and acceptable
year of the Lord [the day when salvation and the free favors of God profusely
abound].” Luke 4v18-19 (AMP)
Prayer
Father,
we thank You for Your Word. We thank You for Your power. We thank You for the
freedom for which You set us free. It is written in Isaiah 49v24-25 that “Can
plunder be taken from warriors, or captives be rescued from the fierce? But
this is what the LORD says “Yes, captives will be taken from warriors, and
plunder retrieved from the fierce; I will contend with those who contend with
you, and your children I will save.” Father, I pray, every power contending
with Your children holding them bound and captive in any way, Father please
contend with them today in Jesus name. We say that no weapon fashioned against
Your children shall prosper in Jesus name, amen. We declare and demand freedom
today from every life-controlling habit, every power of the enemy in the name
of Jesus. Thank You Father for the freedom we have in You, in Jesus name we
pray, amen.
