To Crown it All Up

Hello everyone,

How are you doing on this day? I hope well and bubbling in the Lord. This is the last daily encouragement for this year; to begin again sometime in the early parts of 2016 by the grace of God. I don’t know about you, but 2015 has run by really fast; and yet it has been a year of very many pleasant surprises and answered prayers. I have seen the faithfulness of God. At the same time, it has not been without its trials, difficulties and periods of waiting on a personal level. But we thank God for He says that the trying of our faith is more precious than gold (1 Peter 1v7). Additionally, in the midst of all this, I don’t know about you but I have seen God’s hand in being the God of all comfort – making things comfortable amidst potentially hard times, providing people to surround us and guide us and help us through this path of life – for the God of all comfort, comforts us that we may comfort others with the comfort we have received (2 Corinthians 1v4). Especially, I have experienced a greater walk with the Holy Spirit who is the Comforter, though my desire remains to continue to be responsive to Him, controlled by Him and guided by Him (Galatians 5v16, AMP).

My prayer for all is that God will indeed crown this year with His goodness in all of our lives (Psalm 65v11). I pray that you will “keep yourselves in God’s love as you wait for the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ to bring you to eternal life” (Jude 1v20, NIV). I pray to the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, “For Whom every family in heaven and on earth is named [that Father from Whom all fatherhood takes its title and derives its name]. May He grant you out of the rich treasury of His glory to be strengthened and reinforced with mighty power in the inner man by the [Holy] Spirit [Himself indwelling your innermost being and personality]. May Christ through your faith [actually] dwell (settle down, abide, make His permanent home) in your hearts! May you be rooted deep in love and founded securely on love, That you may have the power and be strong to apprehend and grasp with all the saints [God’s devoted people, the experience of that love] what is the breadth and length and height and depth [of it]; [That you may really come] to know [practically, through experience for yourselves] the love of Christ, which far surpasses mere knowledge [without experience]; that you may be filled [through all your being] unto all the fullness of God [may have the richest measure of the divine Presence, and become a body wholly filled and flooded with God Himself]! Now to Him Who, by (in consequence of) the [action of His] power that is at work within us, is able to [carry out His purpose and] do superabundantly, far over and above all that we [dare] ask or think [infinitely beyond our highest prayers, desires, thoughts, hopes, or dreams]— To Him be glory in the church and in Christ Jesus throughout all generations forever and ever. Amen (so be it).” Ephesians 1v15-21 (AMP).

In advance, happy 2016!!!
