Faith, faith, faith – have faith in God!!!

Hello everyone,

How are you doing on this day? I hope well and bubbling in the Lord. Hebrews 11v6 (AMP) tells us, “But without faith, it is impossible to please and be satisfactory to Him. For whoever would come near to God must [necessarily] believe that God exists and that He is the rewarder of those who earnestly and diligently seek Him [out].” Faith is so powerful. Faith says regardless of the reality of the things I see and do not see, I will trust in God. Hallelujah.

When people encounter situations that are tough, that go contrary to the promise they are looking forward to, they lose faith and begin to say the wrong things. For example the children of Israel, who had been delivered by God with His mighty hand from Egypt, and had left Egypt with joy, became discouraged at the edge of the Red sea when the Egyptians followed after them. They even said it would have been better for them to die in Egypt. Hmmm. Beloved, what are you encountering that is making you wish for that status quo of stagnancy? Have faith in God. Hebrews 11v11 (AMP) says “Because of faith also Sarah herself received physical power to conceive a child, even when she was long past the age for it, because she considered [God] Who had given her the promise to be reliable and trustworthy and true to His word.”

Sarah was way past the child-bearing age, and yet, she believed in God, and God gave her a child. Faith is refusing to turn back and stop trusting in the face of hard facts. Scripture shows how God accomplished so much through people because of faith. We can also let God do so much by our faith in Him, and refusing to limit Him. Be encouraged by Hebrews 11v32-35 (TLB) that says “ Well, how much more do I need to say? It would take too long to recount the stories of the faith of Gideon and Barak and Samson and Jephthah and David and Samuel and all the other prophets. These people all trusted God and as a result won battles, overthrew kingdoms, ruled their people well, and received what God had promised them; they were kept from harm in a den of lions and in a fiery furnace. Some, through their faith, escaped death by the sword. Some were made strong again after they had been weak or sick. Others were given great power in battle; they made whole armies turn and run away. And some women, through faith, received their loved ones back again from death. But others trusted God and were beaten to death, preferring to die rather than turn from God and be free—trusting that they would rise to a better life afterwards.”

Prayer
Father, we praise Your awesome majesty. You are good, great and glorious. May Your glory continue to fill the earth. Father, we declare today that we believe in You, we say You are reliable, trustworthy and true to Your word. We know that the things that are impossible with man, are possible with You. Blessed be Your name forevermore in Jesus name, amen.
