Promises
Hello everyone,
How are you doing on this day? I hope well and bubbling in the
Lord.
Primary Text
“Whereby are given unto us exceeding great and precious
promises: that by these ye might be partakers of the divine nature, having
escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust.” 2 Peter 1v4 (KJV)
“And because of His glory and excellence, He has given us great
and precious promises. These are the promises that enable you to share His
divine nature and escape the world’s corruption caused by human desires.” 2
Peter 1v4 (NLT)
Our God is a great God, and we thank Him for the great and
precious promises we have been given. The Word of God is full of great and
precious promises of our loving Father to us. 2 Corinthians 1v20 (NLT) says
“For all of God’s promises have been fulfilled in Christ with a resounding
“Yes!” And through Christ, our “Amen” (which means “Yes”) ascends to God for
His glory.” Some promises He has given us include Jesus telling us in John
14v15-18 (AMP) “If you [really] love Me, you will keep (obey) My commands. And I will ask the
Father, and He will give you another Comforter (Counselor, Helper, Intercessor,
Advocate, Strengthener, and Standby), that He may remain with you forever – The
Spirit of Truth, Whom the world cannot receive (welcome, take to its heart),
because it does not see Him or know and
recognize Him. But you know and
recognize Him, for He lives with you [constantly] and will be in you. I will
not leave you as orphans [comfortless, desolate, bereaved, forlorn, helpless];
I will come [back] to you.” Amen. And we know that as believers we have the
Spirit of God in us and with us. Another promise is seen in Romans 10v11-13
(AMP) say “The Scripture says, No man who believes in Him [who adheres to,
relies on, and trusts in Him] will [ever] be put to shame or be disappointed. [No one] for there is no distinction between
Jew and Greek. The same Lord is Lord over all [of us] and He generously bestows
His riches upon all who call upon Him [in faith]. For everyone who calls upon
the name of the Lord [invoking Him as Lord] will be saved].” Hallelujah. What
great and precious promises. The Bible is rife with them.
Supplementary Text
“That ye be not slothful, but followers of them who through faith
and patience inherit the promises.” Hebrews 6v12 (KJV)
Prayer
Our heavenly Father, we thank You so very much for today. Father
we ask for the grace to obtain all the promises You have made for us in Jesus
name, amen.
