Turned Waters
Hello everyone,
How are you doing on
this day? I hope well and bubbling in the Lord. Our God is the Lord over the
storms, over the waters, over the seas.
Primary Text
“He turned [Egypt’s]
waters into blood and caused their fish to die.” Psalm 105v29 (AMP)
Once, Jesus was in a boat with
His disciples, and He was asleep in the back parts, and a great storm arose.
The disciples were frightened and wakened Him, saying “… Master, carest Thou
not that we perish. And He arose, and rebuked the wind, and said unto the sea,
Peace, be still. And the wind ceased, and there was a great calm. And He said
unto them, Why are ye so fearful? how is it that ye have no faith? And they
feared exceedingly, and said one to another, What manner of man is this, that
even the wind and the sea obey Him?” (Mark 4v38-41). Our God is the Lord over
everything. We see another incidence where Jesus turns the water into wine,
therefore abating a potential embarrassment for a newly married couple (John
2v1-11). Yet again, we see God letting a wind blow, and allowing a way to be
made in the Red Sea, so that the children of Israel could pass through, but it
covered over their enemies (Exodus 14v21-30). Psalm 107v33-35 (NLT) says “He
changes the rivers into deserts, and springs of water into dry, thirsty land.
He turns the fruitful land into salty wastelands, because of the wickedness of
those who live there. But He also turns deserts into pools of water, the dry
land into springs of water.” Are there any storms you are facing? Does the wind
seem boisterous all around you? Why don’t you call out to the Lord, He is the
Lord over everything, and every storm in life.
Supplementary Text:
“BUT NOW thus saith the LORD that
created thee, O Jacob, and He that formed Israel, Fear not: for I have redeemed
thee, I have called thee by thy name; thou art Mine. When thou passest through
the waters, I will be with thee; and through the rivers, they shall not
overflow thee: when thou walkest through the fire, thou shalt not be burned;
neither shall the flame kindle upon thee.” Isaiah 43v1&2 (KJV)
