Not Ashamed!
Hello everyone,
How are you doing on this day? I hope well and bubbling in the Lord.
Primary Text: Psalm 25v1-3
“O LORD, I give my life to You. I trust in You, my God! Do not let me be disgraced, or let my enemies rejoice in my defeat. No one who trusts in You will ever be disgraced, but disgrace comes to those who try to deceive others.” Psalm 25v1-3 (NLT)
In life, there are many things that may bring disgrace – lost opportunities, delays, mistakes, failures… things that may make people laugh at you. As believers, sometimes the world may try to ridicule you and say isn’t this God that you are serving going to come through for you? But the beautiful thing is that those who trust in the Lord can never be put to shame. Yes, we may go through situations that seem as though, this is tough, shameful and all… but God is always in control. He will always have the last laugh! The Israelites had been oppressed for so long, but God came through from them. Jesus went to the Cross. People ridiculed Him that He saved others, why couldn’t He save Himself. But everything was working according to the plan of God.
Supplementary Text:
“He had done no wrong and had never deceived anyone. But He was buried like a criminal; He was put in a rich man’s grave. But it was the LORD’s good plan to crush Him and cause Him grief. Yet when His life is made an offering for sin, He will have many descendants. He will enjoy a long life, and the LORD’s good plan will prosper in His hands. When He sees all that is accomplished by His anguish, He will be satisfied. And because of His experience, My righteous servant will make it possible for many to be counted righteous, for He will bear all their sins. I will give Him the honors of a victorious soldier, because He exposed Himself to death. He was counted among the rebels. He bore the sins of many and interceded for rebels.” Isaiah 53v9-12 (NLT)
Prayer
Abba Father, we thank You for You are a God of faithfulness. Father thank You because we look up to You. Let us never be put to shame in Jesus name, amen.
