I Shall Not Fear
Hello
everyone,
How
are you doing on this day? I hope well and bubbling in the Lord. I read a
passage of scripture this morning that blessed me, and reassured me of the
awesomeness of God to guide and to protect us. As we go through life,
situations might occur that want to get us down and disappointed, worried, or
fearful. But we must never give in to these feelings, because of who God is to
us. Let’s continue to seek His face, and to seek His presence; reassured of His
love for us and His desire for intimacy with us. Be encouraged.
“The Lord is
my light and my salvation— so why should I be afraid? The Lord is my
fortress, protecting me from danger, so why should I tremble? When evil people come to devour
me, when my enemies and foes attack me, they will stumble and fall. Though
a mighty army surrounds me, my heart will not be afraid. Even if I am attacked,
I will remain confident. The one thing I ask of the Lord— the thing I seek
most— is to live in the house of the Lord all the days of my life, delighting
in the Lord’s perfections and meditating in his Temple. For he will conceal me
there when troubles come; he will hide me in his sanctuary. He will place me
out of reach on a high rock. Then I will hold my head high above my enemies who
surround me. At his sanctuary I will offer sacrifices with shouts of joy, singing
and praising the Lord with music. Hear me as I pray, O Lord. Be
merciful and answer me! My heart has heard you say, “Come and talk with me.” And
my heart responds, “Lord, I am coming.” Psalm 27v1-8 (NLT)
“The
Lord is my Light and my Salvation—whom shall I fear or dread? The Lord is the Refuge and Stronghold of my life—of whom shall I be afraid? When the
wicked, even my enemies and my foes, came upon me to eat up my flesh, they
stumbled and fell. Though a host encamp against me, my
heart shall not fear; though war arise against me, [even then] in this will I
be confident. One thing have I asked of the Lord, that will I seek, inquire
for, and [insistently]
require: that I may dwell in the house of the Lord [in His presence] all the
days of my life, to behold and gaze
upon the beauty [the sweet attractiveness and the delightful loveliness] of the
Lord and to meditate, consider, and inquire
in His temple. For in the day of trouble He will hide me in His shelter; in the
secret place of His tent will He hide me; He will set me high upon a rock. And
now shall my head be lifted up above my enemies round about me; in His tent I
will offer sacrifices and shouting
of joy; I will sing, yes, I will sing praises to the Lord. Hear, O Lord, when I
cry aloud; have mercy and be
gracious to me and answer me! You have said, Seek My face [inquire for and
require My presence as your vital need]. My heart says to You, Your face (Your
presence), Lord, will I seek, inquire for, and require [of necessity and on the authority of Your Word].”
Psalm 27v1-8 (AMPC)
Prayer
Father,
we thank You for all that You are to us. You are indeed our light and our
salvation. We shall not fear. You are the strength, stronghold and refuge of
our lives, we shall not be afraid. We shall seek Your face and Your presence as
our necessity daily. We love You, we appreciate You. In Jesus name we pray,
amen.
