Grow in Grace

Hello everyone,

How are you doing today? I hope well and bubbling in the Lord.

Primary Text
“But grow in grace (undeserved favor, spiritual strength)....” 2 Peter 3v18 (AMP)

Revelations 22v22 (AMP) says “The grace (blessing and favor) of the Lord Jesus Christ (the Messiah) be with all the saints (God’s holy people, those set apart for God, to be, as it were, exclusively His). Amen (so let it be)!” Over and over in Scripture, we see grace being given to us from God our Father, and our Lord Jesus Christ (Romans 16v20, 1 Corinthians 1v3, Philemon 1v3, Philemon 1v25, 2 John 1v3). Ephesians 2v8 (AMP) tells us “For it is by free grace (God’s unmerited favor) that you are saved (delivered from judgment and made partakers of Christ’s salvation through [your] faith. And this [salvation] is not of yourselves [of your own doing, it came not through your own striving], but it is the gift of God;” while Ephesians 1v7 (NLT) says “He is so rich in kindness and grace that He purchased our freedom with the blood of His Son and forgave our sins.” Thank God for His saving grace.

There is also grace that we can access in our time of need. Hebrews 4v15-16 (AMP) tells us “For we do not have a High Priest Who is unable to understand and sympathize and have a shared feeling with our weaknesses and infirmities and liability to the assaults of temptation, but One Who has been tempted in every respect as we are, yet without sinning. Let us then fearlessly and confidently and boldly draw near to the throne of grace (the throne of God’s unmerited favor to us sinners), that we may receive mercy [for our failures] and find grace to help in good time for every need [appropriate help and well-timed help, coming just when we need it].” Are you in need today? Draw near to the throne of grace. His grace is indeed sufficient for us (2 Corinthians 12v9).

Supplementary Text
“And with great strength and ability and power the apostles delivered their testimony to the resurrection of the Lord Jesus, and great grace (loving-kindness and favor and goodwill) rested richly upon them all.” Acts 4v33 (AMP)

Prayer
Father, we thank You for Your grace which abounds towards us. Our Lord and our God even as 2 Peter 1v2 says we pray that You will give us more and more grace and peace as we grow in our knowledge of God and Jesus our Lord in Jesus name we pray, amen.
