A believer’s walk through life
Hello everyone,
How are you doing on this day? I hope well and
bubbling in the Lord. The other day we looked at how as believers, we begin a
walk with the Lord. This journey will look quite differently from how we view
things with the natural eyes. 2 Corinthians 5v16 (New Living Translation) says “So
we have stopped evaluating others from a human point of view. At one time we
thought of Christ merely from a human point of view. How differently we know
him now!” This verse helps us to put things into perspective, to consider God’s
view point for our lives and our time here, as opposed to what we ourselves
think.
We know from scripture that God has plans for our
lives. Jeremiah 29v11 (Classic Amplified Version) says “For I know the thoughts and plans that I have for you,
says the Lord, thoughts and plans
for welfare and peace
and not for evil, to give you hope in your final outcome.” While Ephesians 2v10
(Classic Amplified Version) relates that “For we are God’s [own] handiwork (His
workmanship), recreated in Christ Jesus, [born anew] that we may do those
good works which God predestined (planned beforehand) for us [taking paths
which He prepared ahead of time], that we should walk in them [living the good
life which He prearranged and made ready for us to live].”
So God has plans for each and every one of our
lives, and a journey that He is taking us on. This journey is not without
trials and tribulations, but the assurance is that in the midst of it, God is
with us, and through them we learn to trust Him more and more in them. May we
always take the leading and guiding for our life from God, who seeks and wants
to instruct us; Psalm 32v8-9 (The Living Bible) saying “I will instruct you
(says the Lord) and guide you along the best pathway for your life; I will
advise you and watch your progress. Don’t be like a
senseless horse or mule that has to have a bit in its mouth to keep it in line!”
Prayer
Our Father and our God, we thank You so much for
this day that You have made, that we can rejoice and be glad in it. Thank You
for Your plans for our lives and the journey You are taking us on. We love and
appreciate You. Father, our lives belong to You. Have Your way in and through
us. Lead us long the best pathway for our lives – along the path You have preordained
for us to walk in. Let Your name be glorified in all that we do o God. Thank
You merciful Jehovah, in Jesus name, amen.
Amen.
