A Study of Psalm 3 (13)
Dearly Beloved, I trust this finds you well and bubbling in the Lord. We thank God for Easter, for the death and resurrection of our Lord Jesus Christ and all that it represents for us. We thank God for Jesus, our high priest, who can be touched by the feelings of our infirmities, for He was tempted at al points, yet without sin. He understands what we go through, hallelujah. We thank God for the wonderful access that we have to His throne of grace where we can obtain mercy and find grace to help in time of need (Hebrews 4v15-16). In Christ also we have redemption, deliverance, and salvation through His blood, even the forgiveness of our sins. Hallelujah. Indeed, God loved us so much that He gave His only begotten Son that whosoever believes in Him will not perish but have everlasting life (John 3v16).
We
thank God for loving us and choosing us before the foundation of the earth to
be holy and without blame (Ephesians 1v4). He has also chosen us to be His
heritage and given us an inheritance in Him (Ephesians 1v11). We thank God for
the Holy Spirit given to believers to be with us, and in us, to counsel,
comfort, help, intercede, advocate, strengthen, and standby us forever. The
Holy Spirit is also the assurance of our inheritance in Christ (Ephesians 1v14)
and bears witness with our Spirit that we are children of God (Romans 8v14-16).
Amen.
Prayer
Father, indeed we are grateful for all You have done
and continue to do for us. Perhaps, you do not have a personal relationship
with the Lord and want to be part of this family of God. Romans 10v9-10 (NLT) says “If you
openly declare that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him
from the dead, you will be saved. For it is by believing in your heart that
you are made right with God, and it is by openly declaring your faith that you
are saved.” Basically, you can tell God this – Heavenly Father,
I come to You today declaring that I am a sinner. I haven’t been walking in
ways that please You. I believe that You sent Jesus to die for my sins and that
You raised Him up again. I accept Jesus as my Lord and personal Saviour and I
thank You because I belong to You. Thank You so much o God in Jesus name I
pray, amen.
If you said this prayer today – welcome to the family
of God. Do join a Bible believing church and spend time reading the Bible, so
you can continue to grow.
