Pray for One Another
Hello everyone,
How are you doing on this day? I hope well and bubbling in
the Lord.
Primary Text
“Husbands, go all out in your love for your wives, exactly
as Christ did for the church – a love marked by giving, not getting. Christ’s
love makes the church whole. His words evoke her beauty. Everything He does and
says is designed to bring the best out of her, dressing her in dazzling white
silk, radiant with holiness. And that is how husbands ought to love their wives.
They’re really doing themselves a favor – since they’re already “one” in
marriage.” Ephesians 5v25-28 (MSG).
One thing husbands and wives can do is to pray for each
other and with one another. This is one thing that Jesus does for the Church. For
instance, Jesus prayed for Peter before he was to be sifted by the devil (Luke
22v31), and also for the disciples and those who will believe afterwards (John
17v6-26). Even now, He continues to pray for us, hallelujah. Hebrews 7v25 (NIV)
says “Therefore He is able to save completely those who come to God through
Him, because He always lives to intercede for them.” Boaz in speaking to Ruth
when they first met, ended with a word of prayer, saying “May the LORD repay
you for what you have done. May you be richly rewarded by the LORD, the God of
Israel, under whose wings you have come to take refuge.” Ruth 2v12 (NIV). Husbands,
are your words and actions bringing out the best in your wife? Are you
committed to having her fulfill her God given purpose? There is much power in
husband and wife standing together in prayer.
Supplementary Text
“Again I tell you, if two of you on earth agree (harmonize
together, make a symphony together) about whatever [anything and everything]
they may ask, it will come to pass and
be done for them by My Father in heaven. For wherever two or three are gathered
(drawn together as My followers) in (into) My name, there I AM in the midst of
them.” Matthew 18v19-20 (AMP)
Father, we thank You for the power of prayer. We pray for
the grace to pray about everything, and for our spouses and marriages in Jesus
name, amen.
