Walking as He Walked

Hello everyone,

How are you doing on this day? I hope well and bubbling in the Lord.

Primary Text
“And hereby do we know that we know Him…” 1 John 2v3 (KJV)

There is a saying which goes show me your friends and I will tell you who you are. People who say they know the Lord and fellowship with Him should have the evidence of walking even as He did. 1 John 2v6 (AMP) says “Whoever says he abides in Him ought [as a personal debt] to walk and conduct himself in the same way in which He walked and conducted Himself.” Jesus was a man of prayer, obedience, and compassion. Acts 10v38 tells us that He was anointed by God with the Holy Ghost and with power, He went about doing good, healing all those that were oppressed of the devil, for God was with Him. And Jesus said “Very truly I tell you, whoever believes in me will do the works I have been doing, and they will do even greater things than these, because I am going to the Father” (John 14v12, NIV). Beloved, is it evident from your life that you walk with the Lord? What fruit does your life bring? Also, you cannot say you fellowship with God and continue to walk in sin (1 John 1v6).

Supplementary Text
“And you know that He became a man so that He could take away our sins, and that there is no sin in Him, no missing of God’s will at any time in any way. So if we stay close to Him, obedient to Him, we won’t be sinning either; but as for those who keep on sinning, they should realize this: They sin because they have never really known Him or become His. Oh, dear children, don’t let anyone deceive you about this: if you are constantly doing what is good, it is because you are good, even as He is. But if you keep on sinning, it shows that you belong to Satan, who since he first began to sin has kept steadily at it. But the Son of God came to destroy these works of the devil.” 1 John 3v5-8 (AMP)

Prayer
Father, I thank You for Your Word. I pray that I will abide continually in the Lord and He in me and my life will bring forth fruit to the glory of His name in Jesus name, amen.
