Freedom from condemnation

Hello everyone,

How are you doing on this day? I hope well and bubbling in the Lord.

Primary Text
“And hereby do we know that we know Him…” 1 John 2v3 (KJV)

One reason we know that we know God is that we have freedom from condemnation. Oh, the devil will come to bring accusation and condemnation, and sometimes even our own hearts will try to bring us down. But the Word of God says in 1 John 3v18-24 (AMP) “Little children, let us not love [merely] in theory or in speech but in deed and in truth (in practice and in sincerity). By this we shall come to know (perceive, recognize, and understand) that we are of the Truth, and can reassure (quiet, conciliate, and pacify) our hearts in His presence, Whenever our hearts in [tormenting] self-accusation make us feel guilty and condemn us. [For we are in God’s hands.] For He is above and greater than our consciences (our hearts), and He knows (perceives and understands) everything [nothing is hidden from Him].” Beloved, our feelings can be an indication of what we are going through, but we need to go beyond how we feel to what the Word of God says. It’s easy to keep bringing up the past, wondering if God has forgiven you, even when you have confessed your sins and know He has. Or, in sincerity you forgive a person as God has asked you to, but you still feel bad about the situation. Don’t let condemnation wear you down! When your heart keeps condemning you, and you are walking in love, walking in the truth and according to His ways, remember, God is greater than your heart – trust Him!

Supplementary Text
“Who shall bring any charge against God’s elect [when it is] God Who justifies [that is, Who puts us in right relation to Himself? Who shall come forward and accuse or impeach those whom God has chosen? Will God, Who acquits us?] Who is there to condemn [us]? Will Christ Jesus (the Messiah), Who died, or rather Who was raised from the dead, Who is at the right hand of God actually pleading as He intercedes for us?” Romans 8v33-34 (AMP)

Prayer
Father, we thank You for the freedom that we have in You in Jesus name, amen.
