In God the Father – holy and blameless (2)
Hello
everyone,
How
are you doing on this day? I hope well and bubbling in the Lord.
Primary Text
“Even
as [in His love] He chose us [actually picked us out for Himself as His own] in
Christ before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy (consecrated
and set apart for Him) and blameless in His sight, even above reproach, before
Him in love.” Ephesians 1v4 (AMP)
So
we see that God who loved us and chose us would have us be holy and blameless
before Him. The word holiness in Greek is hagiasmos
which can be translated as holiness, consecration and sanctification. 1
Corinthians 1v30 (TLB) however shows us that Jesus has been made our
consecration, and made us pure and holy, saying “For it is from God alone that
you have life through Christ Jesus. He showed us God’s plan of salvation; He
was the One who made us acceptable to God: He made us pure and holy and gave
Himself to purchase our salvation.” Hallelujah. Another versions puts it this
way: “But it is from Him that you have your life in Christ Jesus, Whom God made
our Wisdom from God, [revealed to us a knowledge of the divine plan of
salvation previously hidden, manifesting itself as] our Righteousness [thus
making us upright and putting us in right standing with God], and our
Consecration [making us pure and holy], and our Redemption [providing our
ransom from eternal penalty from sin].” (AMP). Hallelujah. Thus though we were
sinners, by accepting God’s plan of salvation through Christ Jesus, Jesus is
made our Righteousness, Consecration and Redemption and before God we become
pure and holy. Amen.
Supplementary Text
“Therefore
if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away;
behold, all things are become new.” 2 Corinthians 5v17 (KJV)
Prayer
Father,
I thank You for loving me and choosing me and for making me pure and holy in Your
eyes through Christ Jesus. I yield my all to You and pray You that will be
glorified in and through me in Jesus name, amen.
