Peace

How are you doing on this day? I hope well and bubbling in the Lord.

Primary Text

“Grace be to you, and peace, from God our Father, and from the Lord Jesus Christ.” Ephesians 1v2 (KJV)

2 Thessalonians 3v16 (AMP) says “Now may the Lord of peace Himself grant you His peace (the peace of His kingdom) at all times and in all ways [under all circumstances and conditions, whatever comes]. The Lord [be] with you all.” I have heard it said that peace is not the absence of trouble. However, peace is like in the midst of all that you are going through you have the absolute rest in God. John 16v33 (AMP) says “I have told you these things, so that in Me you may have [perfect] peace and confidence. In the world you have tribulation and trials and distress and frustration; but be of good cheer [take courage; be confident, certain, undaunted]! For I have overcome the world. [I have deprived it of power to harm you and have conquered it for you.]” John 16v33 (AMP). Our Lord Jesus is here saying that the trials will come. The tribulations would come. The distresses and frustrations would come – given that we are in the world. But we should have perfect peace and confidence in our Lord Jesus Christ. John 14v27 (AMP) says “Peace I leave with you; My [own] peace I now give and bequeath to you. Not as the world gives do I give to you. Do not let your hearts be troubled, neither let them be afraid. [Stop allowing yourselves to be agitated and disturbed; and do not permit yourselves to be fearful and intimidated and cowardly and unsettled.]” Beloved, I don’t know what you are going through today that is causing you to be fearful or intimidated, cowardly or unsettled – stop! Do not permit it anymore to cause you sorrow. The Lord has overcome the world for you. “Now may the Lord of peace Himself give you peace at all times and in every way. The Lord be with all of you.” 2 Thessalonians 3v16 (NIV)

  

Prayer

Father we thank You for Your peace which passes all human understanding. We pray that You will grant us Your peace at all times, in all ways, by all means, and under all circumstances and conditions, regardless of what comes our way in Jesus name, amen.
