Jesus must be honoured

“But seek (aim at and strive after) first of all His kingdom and His righteousness (His way of doing and being right), and then all these things taken together will be given you besides.” Matthew 6v33 (AMP)

One song I truly like goes – “Jesus must be honoured, must be honoured, must be honoured, Jesus must be honoured in my life everyday.” That is my prayer. That Jesus will be honoured and glorified. God will have us seek His Kingdom, His righteousness, His way of doing things – above all things. That is what He would have us do first. That is what we should be looking for – His Kingdom – that His Kingdom come and His will be done. And we know that “[After all] the kingdom of God is not a matter of [getting the] food and drink [one likes], but instead it is righteousness (that state which makes a person acceptable to God) and [heart] peace and joy in the Holy Spirit. He who serves Christ in this way is acceptable and pleasing to God and is approved by men.” Romans 14v17-18 (AMP). Therefore beloved brethren, let us serve Christ in this way by seeking God’s Kingdom, God’s reign, God’s rule, God’s heart, God’s way of doing things in every and all things that we do, so that Jesus will be honoured in our lives everyday.

Prayer

Father, we thank You for Your Word. We pray that we will serve Christ in a truly acceptable way of seeking God’s Kingdom and God’s righteousness and peace and joy in the Holy Spirit, in Jesus name we pray, amen.
