Thanksgiving

“Through Him, therefore, let us constantly and at all times offer up to God a sacrifice of praise, which is the fruit of lips that thankfully acknowledge and confess and glorify His name.” Hebrews 13v5 (AMP)

It is good to praise the Lord, to give thanks unto the Lord Most High; to proclaim His love in the morning, and His faithfulness at night. I read the story of a woman who would usually give the testimony of God providing her with both good food and the appetite to eat it. It is indeed a testimony – to be able to eat. Not everyone is able to, or to eat all that they would like, for one reason or the other. Not everyone is able to think clearly or reason in a critical manner. There is so much to thank God for – our going out and our coming in; that we make plans and they are realized – only the good Lord is worthy of this. For all the parts of our body that function properly, even down to the littlest finger, it is only by the grace of God. To have friends and family and loved ones, to have cause for laughter and joy, it is only by the grace of God. O give thanks unto the Lord for He is good and His mercies endure forever. For the salvation of our souls and being called into the family of God, Father we thank You. For making us kings and priests unto our God that through prayer we can work with You to influence the affairs of the earth and ask for Your blessings upon the people, we are grateful Lord. For Your Spirit who is in us and with us, comforting, helping, advocating for, strengthening, interceding for and standing by us, we are so grateful Lord. For the mystery of sleeping and waking up, for water that refreshes us, for joy unspeakable and full of glory, indeed o Lord we are so very grateful. Blessed be Your holy name forevermore o God. We thank You and we worship and honour You now and forevermore, in Jesus name we pray, amen.
