Good Things and Prudent Wives
Hello everyone,
How are you doing on this day? I hope
well and bubbling in the Lord.
Primary
Text
“House and riches are the inheritance
from fathers, but a wise, understanding, and prudent wife is from the Lord.”
Proverbs 19v14 (AMP)
“He who finds a [true] wife finds a good
thing and obtains favor from the Lord.” Proverbs 18v22 (AMP)
“The man who finds a wife finds a good
thing; she is a blessing to him from the Lord.” Proverbs 18v22 (TLB)
The other day, I got fresh insight into
the verse which says “If you then, evil as you are, know how to give good and advantageous gifts to your children, how much more will your
Father Who is in heaven [perfect as He is] give good and
advantageous things to those who
keep on asking Him!” Matthew
7v11 (AMP). I had been short on cash and my Dad gave me some money. He didn’t
begin to judge me or make me feel bad, but just met a need that he saw – without
me asking. It made me think of our heavenly Father, that how much more would He
do that for His children. And then I thought of marriage, an institution set up
by God. God loves His sons and His daughters. He is therefore able to bless His
sons with a prudent wife. Their fathers can give them wealth and riches, but
only the Lord can give them a prudent wife. In the same vein, a wife is a good
thing to be found, and shows that one has obtained the Lord’s favour. Thus God
who gives good things to those who ask Him will want to ensure that both the
men and women have good things. Are you waiting on the Lord for a blessed
marriage? Let Him be the One to show you that prudent wife, to give you that
good thing. Ladies, God is never late, and He has the best in store for you… if
you would wait for Him.
Prayer
Father, we thank You because You are a good God and
You give good things to Your children. We worship and honour You. We pray for
as many as are waiting on You for their life partners, that You will divinely
connect them in Jesus name, amen. We pray You would be the Builder and Keeper
of all of our marriages in Jesus name, amen.
