Patience in waiting (2)
Hello everyone,
How are you doing on this day? I hope
well and bubbling in the Lord.

Text
“Let us hold fast the profession of our
faith without wavering; (for He is faithful that promised;) … Cast not away therefore your confidence,
which hath great recompence of reward. For
ye have need of patience, that, after ye have done the will of God, ye might
receive the promise.” (Hebrews 10v23, 35-36, KJV)
Patience requires keeping our hope
alive and having faith in God. Romans 8v24-25 (AMPC) says “For in [this] hope
we were saved. But hope [the object of] which is seen is not hope. For how can
one hope for what he already sees? But if we hope for what is still unseen by
us, we wait for it with patience and
composure.” Inherent in impatience is a certain lack of faith and
belief. In this situation, one begins to move out to look for solutions outside
of God. Lamentations 4v23-25 (AMP) says “The Lord is my portion or share, says my living being
(my inner self); therefore will I hope in Him and wait expectantly for Him. The Lord is good to those who wait
hopefully and expectantly
for Him, to those who seek Him [inquire of and for Him and require Him by right
of necessity and on the authority of God’s word]. It is good that one should
hope in and wait
quietly for the salvation (the safety and ease) of the Lord.” Beloved, are you
getting impatient? Why? What is the underlying reason for it? Trust in God.

“We also pray that you will be
strengthened with all His glorious power so you will have all the endurance and
patience you need. May you be filled with joy, always
thanking the Father. He has enabled you to share in the inheritance that
belongs to His people, who live in the light.” Colossians 1v11-12 (NLT)
“God will strengthen you with His own
great power so that you will not give up when troubles come, but you will be
patient. And you will joyfully give thanks to the Father who has made you able
to have a share in all that He has prepared for His people in the kingdom of
light.” Colossians 1v11-12 (NCV)
